This ZapExchange Online Privacy Statement is available to inform you about our collection and use of personal and non-personal information so that you can make informed choices about how your own information is collected and used.

We believe that information used responsibly benefits consumers and the economy, whether it is information we house on behalf of consumers conducting transactions or information we collect on behalf of our business clients. For example, we use consumer information every day to ensure fast and accurate processing and posting of hundreds of classified ads. In addition, ZapExchange strives to better serve our customers by offering goods and services that we believe fit their needs and interests.

ZapExchange is committed to our consumers and businesses and strive to develop a long-term relationship by providing reliable services. Central to that relationship is ensuring that we abide by a set of privacy policies, which are outlined below. These policies guide us in the collection and use of information as well as employee responsibilities in protecting your privacy. We use personal information about consumers only in a manner consistent with these policies.

Collection of Information
You can browse the Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. Once you give us your personal information, you are not anonymous to us. If you choose to provide us with personal information, you consent to the transfer and storage of that information to our servers located in the United States .

We may collect and store the following personal information:

prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and enforce our User Agreement;

customize, measure, and improve our services and the Sites' content and layout;

We may access and/or disclose your personal information if we believe such action is necessary to: (a) comply with the law or legal process served on Zapexchange; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of ZapExchange (including the enforcement of our agreements); or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of ZapExchange services or members of the public.

We may also share your personal information with:

members of our corporate family to help detect and prevent potentially illegal acts and provide joint services; (Our corporate affiliates will market only to users who request these services.)

service providers under contract who help with our business operations; (such as fraud investigations, bill collection, affiliate and rewards programs and co-branded credit cards)

other business entities, should we plan to merge with or be acquired by that business entity. (Should such a combination occur, we will require that the new combined entity follow this privacy policy with respect to your personal information. If your personal information will be used contrary to this policy, you will receive prior notice.)

Recipients of Information
GreenZap may disclose consumer information to companies affiliated with GreenZap and to companies or other parties not affiliated with GreenZap. These recipients include:

Financial institutions, such as banks, credit card companies and brokerage houses;

Online merchants within GreenZap;

Companies that process transactions or provide other services for us;

Government agencies and other agencies permitted under federal law.

Consumer Access
You may have the ability to view or edit your personal information online. In order to help prevent your personal information from being viewed by others, you will be required to sign in with your credentials (e-mail address and password). Generally, we will not manually modify your personal information because it is very difficult to verify your identity remotely. You must promptly update your personal information if it changes or is inaccurate. Once you make a public posting, you may not be able to change or remove it. Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information from view as soon as reasonably possible, based on your account activity and in accordance with applicable law. We do retain personal information from closed accounts in order to comply with law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, and take other actions otherwise permitted by law.

Opt-Out Right
ZapExchange may disclose consumer information to third parties as described earlier in this notice. Many of these disclosures are beneficial because they permit goods and services of interest to be offered to consumers. We strive to give consumers choices about how their data will be used. You have the right to opt-out of ZapExchange's membership at any time.

If you wish to opt-out, simply select send an email to support@zapexchange.com . You always have the right to change your mind. If you do not opt-out, we'll assume that you have agreed that ZapExchange may use your personal information to determine what goods and services you may be interested in, offer you goods and services that we think meet your needs, and for the other purposes described herein.

Permission Marketing Emails
Beyond communications required as part of terms of service (order confirmations, shipping details, etc.), users will occasionally receive information on products, services, specials, and/or newsletters via email. Members who no longer wish to receive our email newsletter and promotional communications may indicate such wish by clicking on a designated URL supplied at the bottom of each email, or by un-checking the designated box located within your "Profile".

Security is Priority
ZapExchange is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit highly confidential information (such as a credit card number or password) over the Internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

If a password is used to help protect your accounts and personal information, it is your responsibility to keep your password confidential. Do not share this information with anyone. If you are sharing a computer with anyone you should always choose to log out before leaving a site or service to protect access to your information from subsequent users.

Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document addresses only the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. ZapExchange may provide links to non-ZapExchange companies, like merchants. If you disclose your information to others, whether they are bidders, buyers, or sellers on our Site or other sites throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. Since ZapExchange does not control the privacy policies of third parties, you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others. We also recommend you carefully study their privacy policies before sharing your information.

E-mail Scams
E-mail can be used for sending scams such as a false offer from a company or an alert to a false computer virus. These e-mails are often forwarded with good intention by friends, adding an erroneous level of legitimacy. If you receive an e-mail that you think could be a scam, do not forward it and delete it immediately. If you receive an e-mail warning that a new computer virus is circulating, check the web site of any one of the well-known anti-virus software companies for validation.

General
GreenZap reserves the right to change any of the terms contained within this Agreement at any time and in its sole discretion. Any such changes will be effective upon the posting of the revised terms on the ZapExchange site.

Our Commitment ZapExchange is fully committed to meeting the highest standards for our privacy program and protecting your personal information.

ZapExchange limits access to personal information to those employees of ZapExchange and its affiliates who need it to fulfill their business responsibilities. Employees must adhere to ZapExchange's privacy policies. Employees violating these policies may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Vendors and other outside contractors we engage are subject to our contractual requirements to ensure that sensitive personal information is safeguarded.
